To kick off our Mesala 87th Anniversary Celebration, we had our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity yesterday, July 01, 2021. We visited the Home of Love Orphanage of the Missionaries of Charity (the Congregation founded by Mother Teresa of Calcuta) . We were welcomed by two (2) Sisters and some houseparents present there. There are 21 kids (mostly toddlers) under the care of the Home of Love.
As much as we want to bring everyone there, the current health protocols do not permit many visitors/guests in their compound. Likewise, kids were not yet also allowed to interact with the visitors. Also, their current policy does not allow taking pictures with the kids, houseparents and nuns to protect their privacy. However, they were so delighted to receive the 21 McDo Happy Meals (with toy) and a check donation of P80,000 we shared with them. This amount was a consolidated contribution of Mesala and our Trustees and also includes the “Premyo Bonds” prize we won. Home of Love Orphanage of the Missionaries of Charity would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Mesala and to all the people involved in the association.
